Product Description
Khodal Water based Red Oxide Primer is a premium quality water based primer designed to be applied on Metal surfaces. It is eco friendly, fast drying, low odour and demonstrates excellent hardness, corrosion and rust protection properties as compared to conventional solvent based primer. Can be top-coated with Water Based or Solvent Based Enamels.
Intended Uses:
Stuctural steel, Grills, Machinery and equipment, piping. Can be used as a shopcoat primer.For interior/exterior use.

drying time

Surface Preparation:
Scrape and remove all loose/flaking rust. Wipe surface clean prior to application of the first coat of the Primer. For best results make sure the surface is cleaned to a minimum SSPC-SP2 standard of surface preparation prior to application of the Primer.

Application Method : Brush/Roller/Spray Use a Nylon/Polyester Brush. Use a quality ¼ – ¾ nap coverThinning Recommended : 0-15% by volume depending on surface, if required

Safety & Precautions
• Stir contents thoroughly before thinning. Avoid extra thinning.
• Protect from freezing
• Non-Photochemically reactive
• Do not apply when surface temperature is below 10®C
• Provide adequate ventilation during use
• Check adhesion of old paint before repairing
Avoid exposure of the new paint film to steam for 48 hours and to washing or scrubbing for 7 days
